Goldington Islamic Community Centre is guided by a trustee board and supported by an advisory panel. Together, they provide governance, religious guidance, professional insight, and community perspective to ensure the centre is established and developed with integrity, responsibility, and long-term vision.
Trustees
Imam Nacer Amraoui
Imam Nacer Amraoui is the Head Imam of Goldington Islamic Community Centre, responsible for leading all Islamic and religious aspects of the masjid in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah.
He currently serves as Head of Chaplaincy for the Prison Service Eastern Region and has led prayers and delivered khutbahs at masajid across Bedford, with extensive local Islamic leadership experience. At Goldington Islamic Community Centre, Imam Nacer leads the religious vision of the masjid, overseeing the growth and development of Islamic provision through sound worship, teaching, and guidance.
Mohibur Rahman
Mohibur Rahman is a Trustee and Chair of Trustees of Goldington Islamic Community Centre and has played a central role in shaping and progressing the project from its early stages. Born and raised in Bedford, he brings strong local knowledge, trusted relationships, and a clear sense of responsibility for serving the community.
With over 20 years of experience in business and leadership, Mohibur supports the centre through strategic direction, governance, fundraising, and oversight of delivery. He is focused on establishing strong foundations that ensure the centre’s vision is realised with consistency, sustainability, and long-term benefit for future generations.
Mohammed Ashfaq
Mohammed Ashfaq is a Trustee and long-standing supporter of Goldington Islamic Community Centre, with a strong personal connection to the local area and a long-held aspiration to see a masjid established close to Goldington.
He helped identify the premises for the centre and continues to support the project through his presence at meetings and community events, local connections, and practical assistance as needed. He is passionate about the centre’s role in serving sisters, young people, and the wider local community.
Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel supports the Trustees by offering guidance, expertise, and community insight across key areas including faith, youth development, safeguarding, governance, finance, and community engagement. Advisory Panel members do not hold legal responsibility but play an important role in strengthening decision-making and delivery.
